1. What KeyBond is
KeyBond locks the apps you choose and hands the key to a person you trust. You block, you ask, they answer. It is a self-control tool for adults, not a parental-control product and not a monitoring product: your keyholder sees your asks, never your screen or your usage.
2. Who sells what
- WaveApp LLC makes KeyBond, runs the service and licenses it to you.
- The Apple App Store or Google Play sells the keyholder subscription and is the merchant for that payment. Payment, tax, renewal and refunds follow the store's rules; see the refund page.
3. Your account and licence
- You must be 13 or over and able to enter a binding agreement where you live.
- You sign in with a login link sent to your email. Keep that email account secure and tell us about any misuse.
- You may use KeyBond on devices you control, for your own self-control. You must not copy, resell, reverse-engineer or interfere with the app, with our server, with store billing or with anyone else's device, and you must not use it to break the law.
4. Your keyholder
- You must have your keyholder's agreement before you add them, and you must give us contact details you are allowed to use.
- Never forward a login, invitation or answer link. Never use KeyBond to pressure, deceive or spam a keyholder, and never add a person who has declined.
- A keyholder can decline the role at any time. The ask history stays visible to you.
5. Paying
- Solo is free, complete and unlimited: blocking, schedules, strict mode, timed breaks and emergency unlock.
- The keyholder set is paid: inviting a holder, unlock asks, the web answer and the ask history. It costs $79.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan, or $12.99 per month with no trial. As a founding offer the first year is $59.99, renewing at the regular yearly price. There is no weekly plan and no lifetime plan.
- The price on the store's checkout screen, in your currency, is the one that counts.
- The subscription renews under the store's rules until you cancel it there. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or billing period ends to avoid the next charge. Restore purchase is in Settings.
- When the subscription ends you keep Solo, complete and unlimited; keyholder features switch off and the ask history stays visible.
6. Honest limits
- KeyBond can be uninstalled and its permissions can be revoked. We never claim otherwise. A revocation is reported to your keyholder; a silent phone is reported as "protection cannot be confirmed".
- On Android, blocking is supported on Pixel and Samsung devices and does not work in safe mode.
- Nothing here is a medical or therapeutic service.
7. Changes and availability
We will change features and prices only across releases, never inside one. Capability given away in Solo is never moved behind the paywall later. We do not promise that the service is free of defects or always available; we do promise that an update never removes your ask history.
8. Ending
You can delete your account at any time in Settings; the privacy page says what happens next. We can suspend or end access for a serious breach of these terms, billing abuse, a security or legal risk, or if the product is discontinued, with notice where that is reasonably possible. Anything already bought stays under the store's rules.
9. Warranty
KeyBond is provided as is. A lock can fail because of a permission, a system update, a device model or a network, and a keyholder can be slow to answer. Do not rely on it where a missed unlock or a missed lock could cause serious harm. Where the law gives you a warranty we cannot exclude, that warranty stands.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, WaveApp LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for anything connected to KeyBond is limited to what you paid for the keyholder set in the 12 months before the claim, as recorded by the store. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not let us limit.
11. Law and disputes
These terms follow the law of the State of Wyoming, United States. If you are a consumer, the mandatory protections and courts of the place where you live still apply. Write to support@keybond.app first; most problems are settled by email.
12. Changes to these terms
We email account holders about a material change before it takes effect. If one clause cannot be enforced, the rest stand.
